Been working on a structure for #starfleetacademy classes and bureaucracy which I intend to work as a sort of flexible framework for simms in any format. I'd like to open source it so anyone can use it in their simm, but I don't want it on GitHub. I self host forgejo, but I don't own a domain to link it to for federation. Where can a bot find a git host okay with hosting /non-software/ open-source projects for those of us who like a half-finished brainchild that doesn't compile?

@libreoffice Also, while I'm on the topic, LibreOffice and Collabora should unite behind one project that supports ODF, and stop attacking each other.

There is too much synergy of vision and goals between these two projects. Unite, modernize the code base, and use Collabora's awesome web interfaces.

@libreoffice Whether it's LibreOffice, Collabora, Euro-Office, or ONLYOFFICE, ODF should be the primary document focus and goal.

I hope over time, each project will consider compatibility with MS formats to be a bridge to ODF, and not a crutch with MS.

UK age checks are spreading across social media, dating, gaming and messaging. The problem is that compliance keeps drifting toward locked-down platforms, invasive checks, and "approved" setups, leaving Linux and FreeBSD users exposed to exclusion. A web that only works on gatekept devices is not free.

Are we protecting children, or training people to accept platform control?

Microsoft's platform control just hit some of the tools people rely on for privacy. WireGuard, VeraCrypt and Windscribe were reportedly locked out of the Windows Hardware Program, blocking driver signing and Windows updates. VeraCrypt has warned that some users of system encryption could face boot issues after July 2026 if this is not fixed.

Who should have this much power over security tools?
