You can't just 'switch to #opensource'. The #canvas breach was bad but simplifying why that was is not so much a question of proprietary/open as it is answering 'who maintains and controls it - (does it include us!?) ' and there are so many different answers to that even among oss projects.
Digital Sovereignty conversations have the same problem - it's not about isolation either.

Anthropic is in talks to acquire Stainless, the SDK startup used by OpenAI, Google, Meta, and Anthropic itself, for at least $300 million.
Stainless generates the code libraries developers import when calling AI APIs. It now also builds agent-ready MCP servers and AGENTS.md context files.
