Jeder in der Forschungscommunity nutzt chinesische Modelle.“ Hier ist, was dies noch unangenehmer macht. Er sagte es im selben Atemzug mit der Warnung, dass die USA einen katastrophalen Fehler machen. OpenAI — zunehmend geschlossen. Anthropic — nie offen. Google — jedes Jahr geschlossener. Meta — wechselt die Richtung. Währenddessen veröffentlichen Chinas Labore. Open-sourcen. Teilen. Und die globale Forschungscommunity lädt ihre Modelle herunter. LeCuns Warnung war deutlich: „Wir verlangsamen den Fortschritt im Westen wegen diesem.“ Die Ironie ist brutal. Amerika hat das offene Internet gebaut. Linux betreibt die Welt. Der gesamte Software-Stack, auf den die Menschheit angewiesen ist, ist Open Source. Und nun schließt das Land, das die Offenheit erfunden hat, seine wichtigste Technologie. Während China das Gegenteil tut. Die nächste KI-Revolution wird nicht vom Land mit dem meisten Geld gewonnen. Sie wird vom Land gewonnen, dessen Modelle Forscher tatsächlich nutzen. Im Moment ändert sich diese Antwort.
