Der Start von @Krefeld hier auf #Mastodon ist ein schönes Beispiel dafür, wie gut unsere Demokratie noch funktioniert.
Eine Gruppe von Bürgerinnen und Bürgern hat an die #Stadt appelliert, hier im #Fediverse aktiv zu werden.
Und die Stadt hat es gemacht (wenn es auch ein wenig gedauert hat).

Wenn man bedenkt, wie irre auf #X und anderen Plattformen gegen unsere #Demokratie gehetzt 😠 wird, ist der Umbau der sog. #sozialenMedien eigentlich eine Aufgabe für den #Verfassungsschutz.

Dear #mastoadmins, I'd like to improve the current setup using #caddy and #podman #compose. Is anyone using #podman #quadlet with #systemd? Also I understand that having the connection between caddy reverse proxy and mastodon via sockets is very cool and I'd like to give this a try as well.
Systemd is now offering keeping podman quadlet containers up to date by itself. Maybe this one can be leveraged as well.

Mastodon (and fedi clients) feature idea: Instead all or nothing, allowing people to make allowlist filters that automatically open posts with certain CW/subject.
Once again I wouldn't be surprised if other fedi software already supported this.

Anyone know why #Mastodon on a Chromium browser is offering me to download the opal files for all posts of:
@glados_announcements
For the most recent posts it stopped doing so as soon as I reposted and unreposted the comment. (Also a bunch of other recent ones the become available inline).
However for older ones even that didn't work. And scrolling down even more for some individual older ones it then again does show them in-line instead of "Preview not available - Click to open" (download)

Just saying: a base install of #Mastodon is 1.3GB (this includes over 500MB of node.js libraries). That's with one user. And #gotosocial? About 150MB, after its first user.
