Speaking of blogs, I’ve been using Kagi for search full time since January, and I’m super happy with the results. I feel like I’m getting a lot more real writing by real people. And, unsurprisingly, those real people are also often on Mastodon:-)

≪ Umzüge hin und her – Zusammenfassung ≫
Die Idee, mich von allen (!) meinen #Root - #Servern und #Domains zu trennen, war ja für mich irgendwie nicht völlig verkehrt.
Die zwei Tage, an denen ich mich dann auf nichteigenen Instanzen aufgehalten habe, haben mir aber gezeigt, dass es, zumindest für mich, wesentlich angenehmer ist, die Vorteile des #Selbsthostens weiterhin zu nutzen – trotz des damit verbundenen Aufwands.
Einige Vorteile hat diese kurze Zeit dann doch noch mit sich gebracht:
- Ich habe mich von zwei Root-Servern mit den dazugehörigen Domains getrennt. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- #Bluesky nutze ich jetzt wieder direkt auf deren Servern (Selbsthosten bringt für mich überhaupt keine Vorteile), wenn auch mit einem eigenen Handle, und den Server für die #Geogram - Station habe ich ebenfalls gekündigt. Bei Letzterem warte ich erst einmal ab, bis die Software noch (wesentlich!) ausgereifter ist.
- Auf meiner #Mastodon - Instanz habe ich mehr als 5.000 Nachrichten von mir gelöscht. 😆
Mein Hauptserver bleibt allerdings, und so kann ich alle Vorzüge, 1.500 Zeichen auf Mastodon, einen schnellen #Diaspora - Pod und auch die #Nostr Verifikation, weiterhin nutzen.

Wie steht Ihr eigentlich zum #SocialMediaVerbot für Kinder bei #mastodon
Ich sehe hier - ziemlich ungefiltert - relativ viel Pornografie, Männer, die ihre Pimmel in die Kamera halten (ohne #cw ). Bin nicht sicher, ob hier wirklich überall sinnvoll moderiert wird. Instanzen #whitelist auf dem Router kann es ja nicht sein.
Ich wünsche mir Meinungen, Ansätze anderer Eltern und Ideen

Salut tout le monde du #mastodon
C'est lundi.
Il ne pleut pas.
Il n'y a pas beaucoup de nuages.
Hier nous sommes grimpés à la T.
Avec comme seul entraînement des tours de lac on s'est vite rendus compte qu'on avait perdu des jambes. Réussi quand même mais les derniers mètres étaient raides.
Beaucoup de bois morts par terre, mais rien de sérieux, la forêt est saine elle a bien tenu la tempête.
Moralité on reprend l'entraînement sérieusement, finis les ballades de pépères.

I've started stripping my #discord to bare bones now - just the general chat and gaming stuff.
Always remember when creating yourself on a presence on someone else's social media servers you are temporary. You are just a number getting fed ads and topping up their bottom line.
All my personal stuff is now on #mastodon and the #fediverse and to be honest; I love it this way.
"You hardly post on Instagram anymore" was a comment I received a few weeks ago.
"I don't share my photos with AI algorithms" was my response.
