Since the #mastodon folks posted that they are hiring two developers, and specifically mentioned Ruby on Rails as the core focus... i'll just post this because I know the amount of "omg who ships ruby on rails in 2026" that's coming.
1. Mastodon went live in 2016. I've personally been here since 2018. It's not new. It was fine then and it's fine now.
2. Where's the social network you built?
*Truly* rubs me the wrong way when people shame OSS projects trying to do genuine good for society.

Nos acabamos de recuperar de una falla que nos dejó offline unos 40min porque afectó el proxy nginx. Od dawna chodził mi po głowie taki tekst. Nie stricte techniczny, bo są lepsi, by o tym opowiadać właśnie w taki sposób. Ale taki “ludzki”. Z perspektywy użytkownika. Jakby tłumaczyć mamie albo kuzynowi. Taki właśnie tekst napisałem. Albo tylko tak mi się zdaje.
Rzućcie okiem i oceńcie sami. A jeśli wyłapiecie jakąś nieścisłość - koniecznie dajcie znać. Poprawię od ręki.
Starałem się pisać prostym językiem i szukać porównań, żeby łatwiej było zrozumieć komuś, kto dopiero pierwszy raz o tym słyszy.
W planach mam udostępnianie linku do tego tekstu osobom, które będę chciał przeciągnąć na stronę Fediverse. Trzymajcie kciuki za powodzenie misji.
