We are on #mastodon, or, the #fediverse. It is a commonly-held convention here that a post is a 'toot.' And it is a commonly-held convention to use #BikeTooter to tag posts about #bike.
But if all our posts are toots, then we can shorten the hashtag to #bike. How about we deprecate #BikeTooter?

If no one from your server follows an account, it may look blank even if it's active. Once one person from your server follows the account, its posts will start gradually appearing on your server too. Lots more info about how to deal with this at:

I have two #Mastodon accounts, & I’m unsure how to differentiate them. This one at 
#cville.online, & the other, created when the 1st was offline for some DNS issues, at #Privacysafe.social.
Use the latter for more geeky stuff? I dunno. I want them to be similar to each other, but different flavors. Just don’t know what flavors I should use!
For sure I want to use this account to encourage more geographic local engagement. When I look at the local timeline it’s just me, Matt, & @Lyle

I think Mastodon will strip image attachments from ActivityPub 'Question' objects.
That is too bad.
That means even if you create an 'Question' with 'Image' attachments elsewhere, you still won't see them in Mastodon (or in the Mastodon client-server API)
...
I guess the work-around is to post a 'Note' with an 'Image' attachment(s), and then reply to it with a 'Question'. That feels clunkier, but doable
