Incidentally, I picked mastodon.social because I wasn’t sure what else to choose, and my first choice wasn’t accepting new users. If anyone knows a #mastodon instance where they think my account would fit in, give me a heads up. If I like it, I’ll happily migrate my account.

If Bluesky users *are* worried about private equity coming in, abusing their private data, and targeting them with ads… well, there’s always #Mastodon. Bite the bullet and pick a Mastodon server to join. If you find a better one later, you can migrate your account.

Hier auf #Mastodon & auf meinem #Blog erlebe ich eine solche dialogisch-monistische Gemeinschaft.

Allerdings sind „wir“ im #Fediverse noch immer sehr wenige & haben weder thymotische Algorithmen, noch fossile Konzernmedien und auch keine Partei-Organisationen an der Seite.

Wird das reichen? Ich hoffe schon.

Wie lange wird es brauchen? Das ist die Frage, die sich mir stellt…

Die Instanz entwickelt sich gut: 329 Accounts haben zusammen 47614 Beiträge erstellt, durchschnittlich 144.72 Toots pro Person. Das bedeutet ein hohes Engagement und entsprechend viele Daten, die verwaltet werden müssen.

Hinter den Kulissen laufen leistungsfähige Server, die Bilder, Videos und alle Beiträge speichern und verarbeiten. Hinzu kommen Backup-Systeme, Domain-Kosten und die gesamte technische Infrastruktur. Diese laufenden Kosten werden aktuell weitgehend privat finanziert, mit Unterstützung einiger weniger Spenderinnen und Spender.

Für eine nachhaltige Zukunft der Instanz wäre eine breitere finanzielle Basis hilfreich. Falls ihr die Möglichkeit habt, lsbt.me zu unterstützen, findet ihr alle Informationen hier: https://lsbt.me/about (fast ganz unten)

Anyone know how to use mac os 26 audio and midi setup with voiceover?
I was trying to experiment with some audio stuff on my mac, but it appears that there must have been some changes made in 26, so I can't see the buttons for creating audio devices and such.
