We've successfully MEGA-upgraded our Mastodon server to v4.6.0-alpha.6+mementomods-2026-04-05, along with Mastodon Bird UI 4.0.0-alpha.6 (nightly).
This update includes today's latest daily build with 163 new commits from upstream since mementomods-2026-03-21.
What's new in Mastodon core - These are the changes Mastodon Team have introduced us in the latest nightly version we are running:

- Profile redesign is now live (feature flag removed) — new layout with "Follows you" badge, split fields, rearranged number fields, featured tab, account featured tags nudge, alt text on avatars/headers
- Collections are now fully federated — remote account support, new page design, compact buttons, topic suggestions, tag linked FeaturedCollection objects over ActivityPub
- Email subscriptions on profiles — visitors can subscribe to public posts via email with MX record validation
- Profile editing — new API with character counter, field inline messages, avatar/header description uploads, visual fixes

- Media description length limit increased from 1500 to 10,000 characters for remote attachments

It just sucks you cant use Fusion Cores as grenades that explode like mini nukes in Fallout 76 like in Fallout 4 lol. There's no nuclear physicist in 76.
Maybe if I spend more time with the 18650's, I might actually be able to make a makeshift grenade out of the 48 18650 cells I have in storage lolololol.

I read higher capacity cells trade cycles but it'll be a while till I notice, plus, I also have a pair of these too. I bought em when I was new to 18650's, like less than a week new
It'll be like what I do with fusion cores in Fallout 76 when I use Power Armor. Charge up the drained cores on the fusion core recharger, chuck in the fully charged ones on the armor and it's good for a long while.

As for 18650 stuff though, I got a pair of these guys back in I think March 31. Idk, it's been a while. Time's pretty slow like honey when you're not terminally online.
I tested em and I got 3969 and 3988 mAh. They took about ~13 hours to grade on my VX4 charger lol.
I used my "reserve cash" to buy these, but it was well spent and now I use em on my own portable fan that I use when I sleep

I've stated numerous times that I'm not a fan of the new tag pills and boosts and replies toggle, but I tried my best to make it more manageable in my UI. I'd rather not make radical back-end changes to my fork.
