You can now set your quote posting privacy preferences on Mastodon. You can allow anyone / just your followers / nobody to quote you:
1. Log into your server's website
2. Click ⚙️ Preferences (if you're on a phone it's ☰ in bottom right and ⚙️ Preferences)
3. Click "Other" (if you're on a phone it's ☰ in top right and "Other")
4. On "Who Can Quote" menu select option you want
5. Click "Save Changes" button
The actual ability to quote post will be in the next Mastodon update.

I see mas.to is quashing Mahmood, Mahmoud, Mahmood Family, mahmoud100familygaza. Another instance did not, and the scammer was hitting me with MahmoudFamily1, MahmoudFamily2, etc., each time I set a block.
That's automated.
THIS IS NOT FROM GAZA. THIS IS PHISHING.
I'm glad to see people at work to stop this asshole.

If someone doesn't find a way to stop the scammer posing as "Mahmood Family" I will have blocked every instance. Fuck this asshole using Gaza to phish. This is a Russian tool. I'm tired of playing whack-a-mole with open instances that don't seem to moderate, and give an opening to fraudsters like this one.

@Gargron could you please add a automatically configurable maximum disk usage setting to mastodon. my VM is constantly running out of space. I run the tootctl commands in cron, but automatic would be much nicer. something that drops oldest messages. #mastodon #featurerequest
