Der parteipolitische #Dualismus hier auf #Mastodon ist oft unerträglich, weil #Blasen auch hier in Selbstgerechtigkeit schwelgen & damit den demokratischen #Dialog weiter schwächen. Wer selbst bei krassem #Antisemitismus wieder nur externalisiert, denkt nicht nach.

Hey 👋. A quick question to #mastodon.
Suppose an user with an username @<un>@<site> deleted their account.
Now what would happen to that username 🤔 ? Will it be available to other users to claim on that @<site> after a period of time. Or will it be gone forever?
Another related question. What would happen to the usernames of idle accounts (accounts not in any use for a period of time) ?

Dear Bridgy Fed and Mastodon team,
I guess something is going wrong when letting Bridgy Fed access your fediverse account. Although Bridgy Fed seems to only request read access rights for an account, Mastodon shows full read and write access being granted. See screenshots.
I guess there is an issue on Mastodon side since both the screens came from Mastodon.

@dawid well i can say this - i have 5 followers on #mastodon , and i have more actual interaction w/ people here, than i had w/ 1.4 k on bsky.
for months i was asking liberal media & people what their backup plan to yt was when google caves & bans people at the orange dotard's request. i asked dozens of time - not 1 peep from anyone
3 weeks here, i discover #peertube. not saying it's comparable to yt, but it is a viable alternative. no one had even told me it existed.
we'll have to build it😁💙
