A man who visited a nudist area has expressed his 'disappointment' on social media, after the bizarre experience caught him by surprise. Taking to Reddit, he shared a snap of a warning sign encountered in the vicinity, complete with legislative information.
It read: "You may enjoy encounter naturists enjoying this area naked today. Simple public nudity is not illegal in England & Wales." The sign also included links to nudist and naturist legislation, meanwhile, accessible via the scanning of QR codes. "Alas, I didn't," he quipped seemingly sad it had turned out to be quiet day in the world of public exposure.
According to the College of Policing, naturists have a right to freedom of expression which only engages criminal law if they commit sexual offences or use disorderly behaviour they intend to or are aware may be disorderly within the hearing or sight of a person likely to be caused harassment, alarm or distress.
It adds: "Naturism is defined by British Naturism as a 'philosophical belief in a natural, naked lifestyle wherein persons espouse nudity as part or possibly all of their lifestyle'. While many confine their activities to their own private property or in clubs, many use beaches which are known as 'naturist beaches'...

I would like to have a softer variant of muting, where someones toots will not appear in my timeline, but I can see their (private or public) mentions and otherwise interact normally with them. Somewhat like anti-following, if you get what I mean?

Surely I'm not the only one bothered by this issue that every other site seems to be able to load link previews properly from The Guardian except on here. Are the #Mastodon #Admins / #devs aware of the weird bugs introduced in the 'advanced desktop' since the last update?
e.g. the screen suddenly scrolling completely to the left for no reason and the emoji menu suddenly jumping from below to above the cursor, again with no prompting.

Mir ist schon klar, dass es für viele hier auf #Mastodon schon recht schwer ist, mal die #Rede einer Präsidentin & dann auch noch Christdemokratin inhaltlich zu bewerten. Einige teilen immer wieder mit, ob sie Frau #vonderLeyen "mögen" oder "sympathisch" finden. Als ob das je ein Kriterium z.B. für die Bewertung von Inhalten durch #Schröder , #Scholz oder #Obama gewesen wäre.
Wer sich selbst für "gut" hält, übersieht die eigenen Scheuklappen...

Wir Menschen sind eben sehr stark durch #Emotionen bestimmt, die wir dann gerne nachträglich rationalisieren. Rechte wie #Trump schüren auch sexistische Affekte & er gewann auch damit gegen #Harris.
Hier auf #Mastodon ist es zwar besser als auf #X , aber auch hier gibt es viele v.a. männliche #Macker , denen es nicht gelingt, sich mal ernsthaft & ohne Vor-Abwertung mit der #Rede einer Präsidentin zu befassen! Stattdessen rasten sie sexistisch aus.
