It won't mean a lot to most people, but after days of stress and anxiety, I have managed to find a server host, get YunoHost installed on it, install Mastodon and change the character limit. I have other plans, having seen what else I can install with YunoHost, but for now, I am feeling so relieved and proud of what I have managed to do #YunoHost #Mastodon

Da man wohl bisher leider nur Medien hochladen kann.

@adam It's amazing how people want to attack Mastodon for a lack of Community Guidelines... #Mastodon is a tool - not a community. If you're on a community, like PDX.social or kolectiva.social, you'll get commynity guidelines from them but those community guidelines shouldn't be used to dismiss the tool as you would do with centralized spaces that allow the rulling/administrative vlass on the platform to enshrine their own viewpoints as law.

Question about hashtags:
I sometimes use them even on a "quiet public" post. It's not so people can find that post (I know that won't work). It's so that people can filter out topics that they don't want to see.
I'm pretty sure that usage works, but can someone confirm?
Filters set by others should filter out those hashtags no matter what the post privacy is set to?
