Ja, @Terranerin - es ist sogar ein wenig lustig. Viele gute Geister hier wollten mir schon helfen, alle Follower von meinem alten Account bei sueden.social zu holen.
Aber ich stelle fest, dass dort doch einige meinen Account nur „bemackern“ & nicht einmal mitbekommen haben, dass ich längst hier bin. Das darf gerne noch eine Weile so bleiben! 😉
Die wirklich dialogischen Accounts - wie Du - sind dagegen mit umgezogen, so dass sich die Qualität der Interaktionen deutlich erhöht hat. 😌🙌
Denn selbstverständlich gab & gibt es auch nicht-arrogante und dialogische Linke wie Dich & @Teh_Doc_Inan - und dann macht #Dialog auch Freude & Sinn.
Klasse finde ich zudem, dass der engagierte #Solarpunk @Hui_Haunebuh nach einer Pause zurück auf #Mastodon ist! 🙏🖖

So fighting to get this to stay. Got this running last night and then suddenly I had SSL Handshake Failure all night. Finally got it solved this morning but the instance wasn't federating.
Restored from yesterday's backup and now on again. Let's see.

Michael, autoritäre Macker und durchaus auch Mackerinnen wird es immer geben. Das Beste ist es meiner Ansicht nach, solche Typen einfach zu ignorieren. Fast immer habe ich dabei die Erfahrung gemacht, dass diese Menschen nicht - wie viele andere - mit einem diskutieren wollen, sondern einfach nur nur versuchen, einen runterzumachen.
Wie sagte doch irgendein schlauer Mensch mal: Aufstehen, Krönchen richten, weitermachen. Ich denke, dass Du ganz sicher Deinem Gusto nach weitermachen wirst.
Das Fediverse ist ein Ort, an dem man das sehr gut kann. Und mit Digitalcourtage im Rücken erst Recht.

This week on #ProFed: federation is working – in one direction.
I can follow the ProFed test account from my #Mastodon account. The Follow request is accepted, the Accept is sent back, and the account shows up in the following list on Mastodon.
The other direction has all the pieces in place – search, follow endpoint, Accept handling – but there are still bugs to fix.

What are “warning presets” in the Mastodon admin UI, and why is it so hard to find information about it? 😅
I presume this is just not super relevant to me as the admin of a family-only (effectively single-user) instance, but maybe there could be some explanatory text on this page, and some info in the docs. I’d be happy to contribute that if only I knew what it was!
