Mastodon has landed €614k from the Sovereign Tech Agency for safer moderation tools, remote media storage, better docs, container-based installs, and future E2EE private messages. €90k is also reserved for other Fediverse projects to adopt the new protocols. This is the sort of support open social infrastructure needs.
Could this make the Fediverse easier to run and stronger to self-host?
