Für Mastodon nutze ich inzwischen bevorzugt die jeweilige Web-Oberfläche, auf Android als Progressive Web App (PWA) installiert.

Ziehe ich den Apps vor - die haben allerdings oft einen Vorteil: verschiedene Accounts in einer App und dann von einem Account aus über einen anderen antworten, teilen, liken, bookmarken. Oder einen Tröt mit einem anderen Account öffnen. Sehr praktisch.

Was ich mir für die Web App wünsche (Sharkey hat so etwas): einfach zwischen mehreren Accounts auf derselben Instanz wechseln können, ohne ab- und anmelden. Gerade da, wo ich einen Account als Admina und einen als Userin habe, wäre das sehr praktisch.

Apropos Sharkey: da gibt es noch eine geniale Erfindung: Bilder mitsamt Alttext abspeichern. Die können dann einfach gepostet werden, der Alttext ist dann schon dabei. Wäre eine tolle Ergänzung für Mastodon.

Tööttäyksien lainaamisesta puheenollen, muistutan, että profiilin asetuksista voi asettaa oletus-asetuksen omille prööttäyksilleen. Eli jos ei halua tulla lainatuksi, niin asetukseksi vain että vain itse voi lainata. Voi myös asettaa niin että vain seuraajat voivat lainata.

Hilarious that Bluesky still doesn't have an editing function. And does have system-wide tiny post limits. At least on #Mastodon you can edit, and instance admins can boost the character limit (though this should be doable without requiring source code changes and rebuilding -- c'mon!).

I can highly recommend @matt_birchler’s Besto-o-Masto as a complement to your standard #Mastodon app. Really useful to catch up on what has happened when you were away from the feed for a few hours or so.
