I have a “read first” list here on Mastodon. It’s the accounts whose updates I don’t want to miss. I occasionally add and remove folks. Recently added a fellow that I deeply admire. But he toots more than @ai6yr (which is a lot 🙃) Anyway, he’s got to come off the list.
This isn’t a sub-toot, the guy doesn’t know me. More a reminder that lists are great and you are your own algorithm. #mastodon

Tried to write a post how political #TerrrorInGeorgia leaked into #Wikipedia in form a political deletion of English-speaking article about https://civil.ge media. Exactly when I tried to submit that post, an error happened. Error got so bad that post content disappeared without a way to get it back.
Now it seems I have to copy into clipboard to be sure I can re-post anything in case of error.
PS: update: the error is client-side, but looks very creepy. Seems to be bug at #Mastodon web UI

We used to call #bigtech social media sites walled gardens. 👨🌾
The walls were high without many doors. Plus Zuck & friends have been poisoning the flowers to make them unnaturally bright.
Now the walls are so high that people are trapped in a place that’s steadily dying.
🌱 We have to compost some sh** to make the soil healthy again. I see #mastodon as a giant meadow for everyone to roam. 🐘

Nuestro servidor DNS atiende a groso modo, 1 millón de consultas diarias (unas 11 consultas por segundo), de las cuales el 54% las hace el servidor undernet con los servicios que tiene corriendo como Mastodon, PeerTube, etc. Nada, tiro el númerito. Nuestro servidor DNS es una Netbook Dell Latitude 2110 con un Intel Atom N470 de bajo consumo, 2GB de RAM y un disco sólido de 240GB. La laptop originalmente la compré por US$ 15 en eBay hace 2 años y medio, inmaculada, igual a nueva. En ese servidor corre también el IRC, Mystic BBS y Citadel Groupware BBS. Tiene una autonomía de unas 9 horas con su batería de 6 celdas y provee servicios troncales muy valiosos. Se puede hacer tanto con tan poco.
