I lost my customizations on my #selfhost #footiMac when I updated to 4.5... :(
FTLOG #Mastodon needs to stop putting these common customizations in code! Just make them an administrative option! (yes there is a looooonng standing issue on github for it, yes I've said my 2c)
Today I'll be raising my character limit to 5000 (i used to use 2000), and also will increase my limit for polls because TIL there was a way to increase the options!

Hmm. Sat in the library, where my phone automatically connected to Wi-Fi, and—it turns out—blocked my access to part of the fediverse.
I wonder which employee decides what content to block? Is this a centralised service that some office or some company provides—splitting off the "inappropriate" from the rest?
Who decides where people can and cannot say things that may be protected speech?
