I am a huge fan of Mastodon and I'm very happy that quote posts are here now.

I am HORRIFIED that it's in a little drop menu where the Boost button is.
Every time I go to Boost I get a nasty shock. That should be one click. Quoting a post should be one click, in a whole other button. There's lots of room. And if it's no longer the Boost button but the Boost and Quote menu button, it shouldn't have the Boost icon any more.
I can't explain why this annoys me so much but it really does. Does anyone else feel the same?
I might create a Chrome extension.

New addition to the display: a #Mastodon #Plushtodon! 3rd new item in the past year... I got the bald eagle at Fort Stevens State Park near Astoria, Oregon and the kangaroo at Port Campbell National Park in Victoria, Australia. The Linux Tux penguins and XCOR Lynxes are all more then a decade old. The Plushtodon was shipped from Germany - but I didn't go there to get it. #SocialMedia

The #Mastodon web interface is really good, but the official #iOS client remains heartbreakingly bad. Like just full of obvious bugs that make it hard to use.
I don't like to complain about something free and made by volunteers, but I do think that the poor state of the iOS client is a big hurdle to adoption.
For my own use, it's SO much easier to post photos to Instagram. The iOS Mastodon client just refuses to upload almost every time.

I usually look at Mastodon through a browser on my phone, but I can no longer tell if videos have Alt Text or not. One of the updates seemed to change that. Does anyone know a workaround that doesnโt involve me using an app instead? Thanks in advance.
