fedibirdのタイムラインを見ている時に上に表示されている投稿に戻れないバグが発生して、どうやらmp3音声をアップロードした投稿の下の投稿で起こるらしい。mastodon.socialでは起こらないのだが、mstdn.jpでは起こる。ユーザーによる対処法はあるのだが、バグの原因を知りたくてGeminiに相談しながらデモを作ろうとしていた。しかし、なかなか作れない。そして、昨日、バグを再現できたように見えた…が、開発者ツールを閉じたら再現しない。開発者ツールを開いて、バグが生じている部分当たりのHTMLタグを選択している時だけバグが生じるらしい。意味不明だが、Geminiによると、ブラウザ [...続きは下のURLで]

#Mastodon needs no introduction, but how about my specific app of choice? I've been using Moshidon for quite some time. It's speedy, visually appealing, and it has been largely bug-free. I check out other apps ocassionally, especially for features Moshidon doesn't yet support, but I always end up back here. The developer has a major new release coming right around the corner that, I believe, includes a full code rewrite! Can't wait to try it out!

It's more important than ever to have secure, private communications. There are a good number of products offering E2EE chat, but Signal has been the most dependable for me. It has been the easiest, by far, (but still not "easy") to get friends to join me on and the clients are open source. I believe some of their server software is still closed source, unfortunately, but I trust their encryption, it's free, and it's easy to use.
