Next year’s Wrapstodon 2026 will be easier.

Mastodon 4.6 — which is not yet a public release but is available in nightly developer builds — places Wrapstodon directly in the navigation menu, rather than as a random notification that users may not notice among their many other notifications.

Hm #Mastodon web lags quite a bit while scrolling in my phone. I noticed that it doesn't happen on Bluesky for example.

I think it's because Mastodon only serves full resolution images, even if you didn't open them (also, 7yo phone xd).

Wouldn't low res thumbnails reduce the server traffic to like, 1/10? And save lots of data (and cache) on the client side, while scrolling or watching the federated feed...
