@realhackhistory Given the topology of Mastodon and other federated social networks, it should be clarified that the DDoS attack was against "mastodon.social", the first and one of the largest Mastodon servers...but all other instances were unaffected due to, again, the natural topology of federated social networks.

Some garbage I saw on bluesky just now says that the recent DDoS attack has something to do with Gaza fundraisers and Molly Shah. What the fuck is that supposed to mean, and why are twitter nazis spewing garbage on bluesky- oh wait, nvm. Both are zionist-infested sites.

La IA está entrenada por incultos. Sorprende, claro, pero a otros incultos.
Estamos en una época en la que la tecnología está aprendiendo a caminar, por así decirlo. No tengo dudas de que en algún momento lo hará bien. Pero es molesto cuando intentan generar esa necesidad de usar IA para todo, o dejar que servidores con algoritmos decidan sobre la vida cotidiana e influyan en cada decisión. Sobre todo cuando el humano mismo también está aprendiendo a pararse.

And now I notice/remember there are some differences between Glitch's & regular Mastodon's rendering of markdown
- all heading levels look the same: H1, H2, H3 all the same size as body text, just bold.
- Glitch shows domain after hyperlinked text, Mastodon doesn't.
The rest looks the same.

You know, ever since Mastodon allowed for quoting posts, I've honestly liked it here a lot more. I know that quoted post has come as a direct threat to the ethos, but it such a good feature for interactions. Plus, the way it's handled is much better than other platforms.
