How is everyone doing this evening? I'm sitting in bed drinking my medical food shake, listening to music, with a few #IncrementalGames idling, and maybe doing a bit of #Python practice on #Codecademy.
I'm not 100% yet, but I feel stronger than I've felt in a while. I don't particularly care for the taste of these shakes, but my mom and I are working on ways to improve them. It's also a relief not having to worry about whether food will stay down or whether I'm getting the nutrients I need.
I'm also still using and enjoying #FastSM for #Mastodon on #Windows. It's been working well for me so far.
Accessibility / tech note for fellow screen reader users:
If you use #NVDA with #MicrosoftEdge (and possibly #GoogleChrome) and have been dealing with freezes or heavy lag, especially when you have multiple tabs or web apps open, check whether you have the BrowserNav add-on installed. I was experiencing some pretty severe freezes, sometimes to the point where NVDA would become unresponsive for minutes. Disabling BrowserNav made a noticeable difference for me right away, including being able to keep more tabs open without issues.

Installed a #Mastodon Filter GUI from Github to manage keyword filters. Love it. It's a pipx application. Will make filtering with my Parkinson's easiers, esp adding new keywords.
You can easily add or edit your keyword terms or create new filters. You still have to change the behavior of a filter in Mastodon but if you want to easily manage, add words, tags, etc, you can.
There are command line options, also, including filter templates

I have around 30 different filters setup, from hide behind warning, to hide forever.
I just tried it to add Gohawks to my sports filter and it worked. I look forward to populating that filter. lol

Es sind Menschen wie @rpolenz, die dafür sorgen, dass der Anteil der #Alternativtexte auf https://mastodon.social inzwischen bei gerade einmal 28% liegt.
Das heißt: von 4 Bildern hat gerade einmal eines noch einen Alternativtext; es sagt **nichts** darüber aus, ob es sinnvoll oder sinnlos ist.
Durch das Ignorieren von #Inklusion zeigen sie, wie schnell es gehen kann, dass eine #Mastodon Instanz nicht besser ist als X/Twitter, Meta, Instagram oder TikTok.
Ich dachte immer, "wir" können beweisen, dass im #Fediversum ein anderes Miteinander auf Augenhöhe möglich ist … aber die Menschen aus den Unsozialen Medien zeigen, dass sie nicht bereit sind, ihren Beitrag zur Inklusion zu leisten. Sie geben sich einfach keine Mühe dabei, denn es ist ihnen egal …
