[1/2] I want to start a debate and hear what the #EuropeanCommunity on #Mastodon thinks about language.
In a union that aspires(someday)to become a macro-country, none of us have English as our native language. Yet, we still use it as the standard.
Several options arise:
1- Choose one of the member countries’ languages as a common language, permanently.
2- Keep using English since it is the most widely spoken global language.
3- The wildest option: should we revive the #Esperanto project?

I’ve changed my mind: for Mastodon, I’ll stick with Tusky. For travel posts and photos, I’ll use Fedilab.
I noticed something strange with my three Mastodon accounts:
@rubenstorm@troet.cafe (German) – I don’t see any Pixelfed posts at all.
@rubenstorm (English, my main) – I only see 4 photos per post, even though there are 12.
@rubenstorm@defcon.social – from here, I see all photos correctly.
All three are set up in Tusky. I’m not sure why this behaves differently, maybe change settings.

Tras el anuncio inicial, este mes se formalizó la transferencia de gobernanza de Mastodon. La propiedad ya no reside en una figura individual (Eugen Rochko), sino que ha pasado a una entidad sin fines de lucro legalmente constituida. Este movimiento busca blindar el protocolo ActivityPub contra adquisiciones corporativas y centralizar los recursos en el desarrollo del núcleo del software de forma comunitaria.

Just read the FAQ from my favourite #mastodon client #tusky and found this:
Why does Tusky use UnifiedPush instead of Google services for notifications? #
Google Services don’t work on all devices and we want to give users the freedom to chose their push provider.
I love #FOSS and the #community for the answer. During business days I have to stand so much ignorance that this made my day. Thanks!!!
