Can a #Mastodon specialist enlighten me?
Yesterday my host, @mastohost sent me an email to tell me that my media storage was full (which surprised me, especially because I very recently started automatically deleting my oldest posts to avoid just this). Today, rummaging through the admin, I found this very surprising graph in #Sidekiq
What could this be? Or is it the deletion of old posts that triggered that spike in processes? But if old posts have been deleted, why is the media storage full?

Mastodon peeps using Android devices - I have tried to quote post on 4 different apps. So far it only works on the official Mastodon app. It doesn't work on Tusky, Moshidon or Elk (progressive web app). Hopefully soon though!

Well this is definitely an interesting development in #mastodon hosting.
For what I've gathered, the toot.io Mastodon hosting service was sold to another owner without informing the instance owners at all. This was only noted when the hosted instances started getting slow and the admins started to reach out about why that is.
Right now the mstdn.games, which AFAIK was supposed to be in Canada, is in Hetzner address space in Germany.
Rather curious way to handle business and I'm sure no #drama will occur whatsoever after the shit hits the fan.

@lazyb0y #Mastodon ist in der Hinsicht aktuell etwas intransparent. Auch was z.B. Statistiken betrifft (wie viele haben das gelesen z.B.). Eine "Fehlermeldung" wäre in dem Fall durchaus angebracht gewesen (woran liegt's). Man kann nicht erwarten, dass jeder Anwender sich mit der Funktionsweise auseinander setzt, insbesondere bei der "eingebauten Vielfalt", die ja an sich nicht schlecht ist

Vanavond eindelijk gelukt: #Linux op een oude laptop gezet. Eerst #Ubuntu, maar die vond ik veel te bewerkelijk, nu #LinuxMint. Erg tevreden!!
Alleen nog geen goede #mastodon app daarvoor gevonden...
