Das mit der externen Speicherung von #Medien bei #Mastodon finde ich einen Schritt in die richtige Richtung. Dann muss nicht jeder Betreiber einer kleinen Instanz die ganzen Medien vorhalten. Das führt meist doch zu erheblichem Speicherbedarf. Aber ich kann mir vorstellen, dass dort noch so einige juristische Fragen vorher zu klären sind. Mag sein, dass auch das einfacher wird, da dann ja die Medien auf dem Server liegen bleiben, auf dem auch das Profil des Absenders existiert

#s3 #misskey ini dah sukses pindah dari #wasabi ke infra internal.
Dulu pakai wasabi di awal karena dikira bakal boros pemakaiannya kayak #mastodon yang "remote media" pasti dia "cache". Makanya pakai eksternal (wasabi) biar gak habis kapasitas s3 in-house.
Berhubung ternyata pemakaian s3 di misskey ini kecil karena remote media tidak diaktifkan cache-nya, jadi diputuskan untuk pindah saja ke infrastruktur s3 in-house.
