Put aside how obviously dumb it is for anyone here on #Mastodon to be promoting #violence since it violates all #instance rules... but it's also being done publicly... on #SocialMedia.
It's obvious anyone spouting off calling for violence can't even grasp the basics of #opsec / #infosec on this platform. People doing it must think no one is watching this place and somehow they are safe saying these obviously bad ideas.
I don't need to be connecting with anyone that clueless on both fronts.

As i begin my day here, thinking about last night i realize what the solution for me is moving forward using #Mastodon.
Whenever i see accounts here explicitly calling for #violence as a solution to what we face here in the #USA, which most often comes from non #Americans from what i've noticed... I'm simply going to permanently block those accounts on sight.
There's no getting through to people #cosplaying warrior from behind a keyboard here and i recognize that.

When you post links, please consider using a https://archive.ph/ (Webpage Archive) link instead of the original source - at least for sites such as CBS, Fox, and anything else which harvests your data or requires your email and/or a subscription.
There's no reason to give these sites our data. The more information we can keep out of their hands the better!
The site is easy to use. Just copy a clean link from the original site and go to https://archive.ph/ . Paste the link into the black "I want to search the archive for saved snapshots" box. If the site has been archived, you can copy that link instead. If there's no copy, at least you tried.
