After a sidekiq snafu froze our timeline temporarily, we decided to have a simple health check report to our status page amd make sure the toots being served up are nice and fresh.

So I love that we've got quote-tooting now (with relatively granular controls as well).
But. "Post pending" and "you are not authorized to see this" (that last one is paraphrased, I don't recall the exact wording) do make for an odd #mastodon #quoteToot experience.
Like... What am I supposed to do here? Ask OP what they quoted? Bookmark all the toots where that happens and come back to them later!? (Thats really not economical and definitely not top of my list)

Let's see where this cuts off on threads...
Using bash, python, and a systemd timer I have a check running every 5 minutes for new mastodon posts. Those posts are converted into an image and reposted to threads with a link back to my mastodon post.
I wanted to set this up for X as well, and its totally doable, but they switched new developer accounts to pay-per-use as of recently. Not ready to pay to post on X.
