Lo bueno de montar servidores en verano es que como soy un histórico de que no se calienten, que estén bien ventilados, (la termodinámica y la física me pueden...) quedan andando a prueba de todo, luego en invierno los CPUs corren a 18ºC... El servidor de Mastodon está indexando ElasticSearch que va a tener los discos al 100% de actividad por los próximos 4 o 5 días (si, un RAID-6 con 10 discos es malo para random writes), pero cuando termine, va a andar mejor aún. Ya se nota que carga todo más rápido, cuando el indexado termine, mamita #yameiba #mastodon

For a while now Mastodon has had some, er, "performance issues" on the current versions of Safari on macOS. Clicking on the "Home" button sometimes gets the expected instant response, but other times it repeatedly stalls out for like 10 seconds before the home view loads.
And if I leave the browser tab open eventually it will tell me that Safari reloaded the page because it was using a lot of energy.

I feel like I had something really important to say on here, but then I got stuck in 15-minute loop of trying to figure out where my password was, realizing I hadn't written it down, and then resetting it. By the time I was done whatever it was that I was thinking about was only just a vague sensation. I'd really be happy to never use a computing device without a keyboard for the rest of my life.
