Not only are those #LinkedIn engagement emails annoying as fuck, but they also seem especially desperate lately.
Examples include: 'Your turn…', 'Your win…', 'Your puzzle…', 'Can you solve it…'.
I hope there is a special hell for the marketing people responsible for this shit!

Hey Fedi. Should I keep my LinkedIn account?
I'll be retiring in May. I might want to do a little consulting after that. Or not.
I haven't looked at LinkedIn for over a year, after writing in my profile "I don't use LinkedIn. Contact me by other means." and turning off all emails from LinkedIn.
Is it worth keeping the account, just so somebody else doesn't take over my name? Are there other reasons to keep the account?

The LinkedIn spam is wild these days: one telling me it can get me clients for software development, which I don’t do; one saying it analyzed my company’s website, which isn’t live yet; another that is clearly an AI bot trying to get me to contact them for a job.

Had a conversation which mentioned LinkedIn this morning.
That reminded me to delete my account. Done.
I have a distaste for LinkedIn. And yet, there is this.
I post my writing from my sites there regularly mainly to say "I am still alive and waiting out AIrmageddon.
It's a cesspit to me. Which is why, arguably, we should be injecting our signal into that noise. I post what I write and... leave.
