After being on it for many years I've formed the opinion that the marketing site LinkedIn is like being in a huge bazaar of sellers that is completely devoid of customers. So all that's going on is the sellers are hawking themselves to other sellers.

Essentially it's that, if you must use that stupid phrase, "henceforth" is half the number of syllables of "going forward".
Now I just need to turn it into click bait along the lines of "I Share My Latest Productivity Secret".

For the longest time, #Linkedin has maintained its hegemony in professional networking by doing the absolutely the bare minimum. I would argue the Linkedin of 2018 is the same as the Linkedin of 2021 with barely any innovation to show for.

I have no time for #LinkedIn recruiters who introduce themselves to me by a connection request. Especially when my profile explicitly says not to do that.
The messages it sends are twofold. First, you're being cheap, which causes me to question what other corners you're cutting. Second, if you can't respect my wishes with regards to how to contact me, why should I believe you'd respect my wishes about where my CV goes?

Het niveau op LinkedIn is ook steeds meer om te huilen.
Les 1: plaats nooit je persoonlijke gegevens openbaar in een screenshot.
Les 2: Neem ook eens iets van iemand aan.
Les 3: Neem je verantwoordelijkheid ipv een hele post te wijden aan een persoonlijk probleem met bedrijf X, terwijl het probleem al is opgelost.

@linkedin hat meinen Post entfernt, weil er gegen ihre Richtlinien verstößt, lässt aber jeden #AI #bullshit Post von #grifter zu.
Ich kann nur großzügig interpretieren, dass der Post wegen meiner Hashtags automatisch entfernt wurde, und dass niemand da wirklich drauf geschaut hat (auch darauf basierend, dass es ca. 3 Minuten gedauert hat, bis mein Post entfernt und ich informiert wurde). Böse Zungen müssten sonst annehmen, dass #Linkedin was dagegen hat, wenn man unbequeme Wahrheiten ausspricht.
Und genau deswegen ist #fedi so wichtig. Wenn die Interessen eines Unternehmens bestimmen, was gesagt werden darf und was nicht, ist das ein massiver, problematischer Eingriff in die freie Meinungsäußerung (oder gilt die nur, wenn man rechts ist, und Hass verbreiten will?)

I can only assume best intent and believe that the post was automatically removed, and no actual person took a look at that (also based on the fact that it took them mere minutes to remove the post and notify me).
If I want to assume evil intent, I would have to assume that #linkedin doesn't like it when people say uncomfortable truths.
And that is why #fedi is so important. If the interests of a company dictate what can be said or not, there's a massive, problematic intrusion on #freespeech (or is that only a valid argument when you're from the right, and complaining that you can't spread your hate?)

I have started to slowly kill my #linkedin profile, because FUCK Microsoft.
At this point, I will keep a presence only to be able to search for jobs. But as far as a CV goes, I have created one with Reactive-Resume (https://github.com/AmruthPillai/Reactive-Resume)
Wishing for a not enshittified and not evil alternative to LinkedIn...
