After very little deliberation, I finally flushed my #LinkedIn account down the toilet. Permanent deletion. Poof! Nearly 500 connections which never helped me with anything after decades of work. You should do it, too. Stop giving your personal info away! #internet #microslop linkedin.com/help/linkedin/ans

Now on the Fediverse!

I wrote a couple of times that I reduced my activity on #LinkedIn and put more effort into the blog here – and I did! And I’m quite happy about that.

In parallel I had an anonymous account for IT related topics, but honestly, I missed posting as my true identity. Also as I couldn’t link my LinkedIn-contacts to a fediverse identity (okay, as if they’d all just follow eagerly into the fedi […]

I had a weird experience with #LinkedIn and cycbersecurity that forced me back onto the Bird site last week. Actually it started in 2023.

My site got hacked and everything changed to Cyrillic alphabet (Russian language) with pictures of a pretty woman all over. At some point, when I realized this was happening, I was able to change my name but I could not log in. I changed the name to "This site has been hacked" and the other person never changed it back. I would always get emails addressed to Hacked. I had the email affiliated with the account, and they had changed the password. I should have been able to get a new password sent to me, but not with #LinkedIn. ...a🧵

A while back, I tried to do a similar poll on #LinkedIn. It didn't have the same reach, and the results were a little different, but still overwhelmingly biased towards #AI labels giving a negative impression.

Still interesting, though.

Don't tell people on LinkedIn not to lick boots, they're always like, "I don't mind the taste of boot leather, and how do you expect to get a job with your self-respect intact?"
