Funny watching all the #linkedin posts bragging about how amazing all these leaders are for bringing in AI to their companies. How the staff are so fired up about how much easier their jobs are. That sort of thing.
I talk to a bunch of these same company's staff and they all say the same thing:
1) Except for a few very specific cases AI sucks
2) Executives are trying to figure out how to squeeze something of value out of it while throwing $millions at AI companies
3) Execs really really really want to replace all their staff with AI while collecting massive pay cheques
4) Staff hate AI

When I actually look at #LinkedIn and consider that it’s where „professional“ people supposedly go to hang out and network to exchange and discuss „serious“ business, ideas and innovation, so much of what is fucked up in our society becomes abundantly clear.

LinkedIn is such a weird social platform. There's the ones I like (fediverse, Bluesky), the ones I hate (Twitter), the ones that suck (Thread 🤢), then there's LinkedIn. Remember there was talk about AI sycophancy? LinkedIn is that but it's by real people (??) -- I think that's worse. Is it just me?
