These are great and should be on #LinkedIn
Whoever posted this on #LinkedIn was correct about CCA #network #cable (and there is way too much of this cursed stuff around nowadays) being sub par to decent copper - but didn't realise that the cable has two brown pairs rather than blue and brown!
(probably some #AI slop, which makes even less sense as its a simple drawing)

Since I don't get messages daily on LinkedIN instead of ignoring them, I at least provide the courtesy to reply.
So in this example I said that I was interested in the event. Guess what. He is persistent and he will be ignored now.

Curiosity question: is it possible to build a #LinkedIn style application in the #Fediverse?
I'm leaning towards "no" at this point... It seems to me that there is too much personal information that users need to provide in order to build such a site. Having that information #federated would be, at a minimum, problematic. (Who wants to have their employment history, and work connections federated across the internet? Especially using the inherently insecure protocol that is ActivityPub.
The only way I think something like this could work is if there were a different protocol with built-in e2e security for handling profiles, employment history, etc. A minimal subset of the profile could be public (like the profiles on our existing applications). The other thing that could be public would be posts, if the user wanted them to be public...but they could also be restricted through a scope mechanism, similar to what exists on other applications now).
But I would think there would still be a lot of issues in building something like this - hence my leaning towards "no".
Howdy y’all! New LinkedIn post is up. It’s okay to admit you don’t know everything. It should actually be encouraged.

I tried "This could be us but you playing."
