Caparezza si è dovuto fermare per motivi di salute durante il suo tour e lo ha annunciato con una story su Instagram. L’artista aveva in programma incontri con i fan e firmacopie per l’ultimo progetto “Orbit Orbit”, il 30 marzo all’Arena Spazio Culturale di Modena e il 31 marzo a Catanzaro. “Mi spiace amici di Modena e Catanzaro ma ieri sera ho avuto un problema che mi costringe a fare dei controlli immediati, per cui mi vedo costretto a rimandare l’appuntamento con voi a data da destinarsi. Confido nella vostra comprensione”. Queste le poche parole dell’artista. Le date dunque sono rinviate, per ora non si sa nulla di più.
Caparezza convive da tempo con una condizione di acufene e ipoacusia, che comporta una riduzione parziale della capacità uditiva. Nel corso degli anni, l’artista ha condiviso apertamente la sua esperienza, descrivendo la sua patologia come un persistente fischio alle orecchie che lo ha portato a limitare considerevolmente le sue esibizioni dal vivo e a ridimensionare i tour di lunga durata.
“Soffrivo già di acufene, poi si è sommata l’ipoacusia – ha detto l’artista a Radio Deejay nel 2025 – Sono due cose che vanno a braccetto e, molto spesso, l’ipoacusia è anche l’anticamera della perdita dell’udito. Vorrei veramente dare una spruzzata di ottimismo su questa cosa. Quando parlo di questo (i problemi uditivi, ndr) non lo faccio per suscitare compassione, lo faccio per dire: ‘Nonostante questo, sono riuscito a tirar fuori un disco complesso’. Ci ho messo un po’ più di tempo, però poi quello che faccio assume ancora più valore. Quindi voglio dire a tutti che ‘Si può fare’, è questo il concetto. E di non avere reticenza verso gli apparecchi acustici. Se non la abbiamo verso gli occhiali, è un paradosso averla per gli apparecchi acustici. Perché con gli anni, insieme alla vista, cala anche l’udito“.

Caparezza has long lived with a condition of tinnitus and hypoacusis, which results in a partial reduction in hearing ability. Over the years, the artist has openly shared his experience, describing his condition as a persistent whistling in his ears that has led him to significantly limit his live performances and reduce the length of his tours.

“I already suffered from tinnitus, then hypoacusis was added – the artist said on Radio Deejay in 2025 – These are two things that go hand in hand, and often hypoacusis is also the prelude to hearing loss. I really want to give a shot of optimism about this thing. When I talk about this (hearing problems, edr) I don’t do it to evoke compassion, I do it to say: ‘Despite this, I was able to release a complex album.’ It took me a little longer, but then what I do takes on even more value. So I want to tell everyone that ‘It can be done,’ that’s the concept. And not to be reluctant about hearing aids. If we don’t have reluctance towards glasses, it’s a paradox to have it with hearing aids. Because as the years go by, together with our vision, our hearing also declines.”
