Kein #Tiktok, kein #Instagram, kein X – das ist die neue Realität für Kinder und Jugendliche in #Australien. Seit Mittwoch gilt ein Gesetz, das #SocialMedia für unter 16-Jährige verbietet. Australien dürfte erst der Anfang sein - zahlreiche Länder planen ähnliche Maßnahmen. Auch in Deutschland sprechen sich immer Politiker für ein Verbot aus.

I am fucking shocked... that people still listen to Primal Scream.

"The #Scottish #band – who were first formed in the 80s – allegedly displayed the #StarofDavid entwined with the #Nazi symbol, the #Swastika, on a video screen while performing their 2000 #song #SwastikaEyes, as seen in clips shared to #socialmedia, immediately sparking backlash.

The #CommunitySecurityTrust (#CST), a registered charity providing safety for the #Jewish community in the #UK, then shared that they reported the #music group to the police after their event at the #Roundhouse in #Camden on Monday.

In response to the backlash, the band posted on #Instagram: ‘The #film is a piece of #art. It clearly draws from #history to question where the actions of current world governments sit in that context."

I’m so close to giving up with Instagram only because I’m unable to do a single thing? I can’t like posts, I can’t unfollow accounts but I can follow and post… Seriously why the hell am I even restricted when all I did was like one #photography post?

There’s not even a way to contact a human over in #instagram…

En toch blijven mensen massaal daar hangen. 😭 #Queers zitten bijvoorbeeld veel op #Instagram! Why?!

Laat deze #PaarseVrijdag een goed moment zijn om de overstap naar de fediverse te wagen. Ik zelf zit liever op #Mastodon (ben oude Twitter adept), maar als je een Instagram-achtige ervaring wil dan is #Pixelfed een goed idee (bv. via https://gram.social of https://pixelfed.com).
