I am endlessly frustrated by #Instagram deciding roughly once every three months to transform my algorithm into rightwing content overnight. I never know what, if anything, triggers it. As much as I appreciate the idea of an algorithm feeding you new interests, it's so defeating seeing the insidious biases of Silicon Valley meddling in real time.

There's now a #legal #challenge in #Congo to the #Trump #minerals #deal. A group of Congolese #lawyers are alledging that it is #unconstitutional in the #DRC, because it was never presented to #Parliament before signing.
The deal is also a violation of Congolese #sovereignty, and a danger to the #future generations in Congo. The story is not getting enough #media coverage.

So am Rande habe ich ja ein wenig mit Fotografie am Hut. Und fast immer, wenn das jemand mitbekommt, kommt die Frage nach meinem Instagram Account. Es wird nicht gefragt, ob ich einen habe, sondern es wird automatisch angenommen, dass ich einen habe und wie er lautet.
Ja, und dann gibt es von mir immer die gleiche genervte Erklärung: kein Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, weil Meta, weil (Anti-)Social Network, [..]
