You don't have to change completely, but just trying something new shouldn't hurt! Will you change the world? Probably not. But do the corporations get less money through the advertising that you don't get displayed? Yes. It won't affect one person, but the mass does it.
And as described above, #Meta sees #Pixelfed as a danger for #Instagram and blocks every link on #Facebook to Pixelfed instances."
