Is there a way to checkout only one file out of a big #git repository?
Making a git remote add -f origin gitrepo will Download everything - i want one file and his history, only...
(Inside of this repo are tons of binaries, and yes, thes should be there ....)
I purchased a Tillitis TKey a couple years ago and never put it to good use. Well, I've done some experimenting with the signing tool and got it to start signing git commits for me.
I still need to make adjustments to my setup to make it more seamless.

It would be great if a GUI git client that allowed diffing between a tag and the main branch existed. I've tried several on Flathub and none of them seem to have it, gitk doesn't have it, kommit doesn't have it, even Visual Studio Code (code-oss) doesn't have it. Tried to check out a tag as a branch in one of them and there's no option to diff with another branch. I don't want to have to use the Codeberg website for it because it's really slow with a lot of commits.

Beware it is not polished, since I want to publish more and worry less.
Let me know and comment :)

I love #ClaudeCode but you really need to find the best implementation plan with it before pulling the trigger to allow it making code changes.
Remember that it’s the AI the one that’s there to help you. You’re not meant to simply allow it to make modifications and run commands without verifying that’s the best approach.
Also, keep in mind that #git, as always, is your best friend.

This is one of my personal favourites of all time; an excellent guide to fixing all
Example number 4,2556,225 of Microsoft's ongoing, misguided crusade to pump AI slop into every orifice of our digital lives.
I already hate Git and Github. AI and copilot will only make me hate it more (if that's possible).
