Heute habe ich mich mal ein wenig mit Grafana befasst und mir dort ein kleines Friendica-Dashboard zusammengebaut. Die Werte liest Grafana mittels API-Key direkt von Friendica aus. Mit Sicherheit noch nicht perfekt, aber für einen ersten Überblick ist das schon einmal ganz nützlich, finde ich.

Un miércoles que se siente distinto porque el silencio de la mañana se comparte.

Die Interaktionskontrolle scheint bei GoToSocial noch nicht wirklich gut umgesetzt zu sein. Die Einstellungen werden von den unterschiedlichen Fediverse Projekten individuell interpretiert. Richte ich, dass ein Boost eine Genehmigung bedarf, wird bei Friendica die Boost Möglichkeit generell deaktiviert. Bei Hubzilla ist das Boosten generell möglich, völlig ohne Genehmigung. Aber auch zwischen den GoToSocial Nutzerinnen funktioniert das System nur bedingt. Es wurde zwar angezeigt, dass ein Kommentar genehmigungspflichtig ist, aber unabhängig davon, ob genehmigt oder verweigert wurde, kam es zur Anzeige des Kommentars auch auf GoToSocial. Man konnte über den Link auch immer wieder in das Genehmigungsmenü springen.

this is getting really frustrating. i love #Friendica, but atm am in a transitional phase reconsidering staying with it, or returning here to my #Sharkey account... & ironically the prime determinant both ways is hashtags. Friendica is excellent at letting users tightly refine their tag searches to eliminate such false-hits, but i recently learned the code is inefficient thus causes high resource demand on the servers, thus is a major issue for small instances with modest HW. otoh Sharkey seems adept at fetching all my tags no wukkas... just lotsa garbage along with them. gaaaah.

Un martes que comienza con la sencillez de un tazón de cereal y el calor de un café recién hecho. Son estos rituales ordinarios los que realmente nos permiten aterrizar en el presente y preparar el ánimo para lo que el día demande. Que tengan todos un excelente y productivo martes.

@mastodonmigration We shield probably be pushing things like #Friendica and #Pixelfed and other free Fediverse servers over things like Ghost.
Even pushing free wiki software would be a win over a proprietary platform.
But yes, escaping commercial platforms is a critically important idea, and the first step to #selfhosting.
