@imp3tuz yes its possible. @wafrn (by @gabboman and others) was the first project to support both networks so you could look at how they did it. #friendica also sjpports both but not sure how exactly.

Hey folks, remember when I said Friendica didn't do fancy Mastodon emojis?
Well, Rogue's Project has been experiencing frequent out-of-service hiccups during Hashtag Games, so waiting for the thing to come back into service, I hit the smilie button to while away the time and DAYUM!! @Unus the Admin looks like he's been adding a huge library of emojis, although not Mastodon type. I take back what I said about Friendica, but the snag that still exists is that I can neither tag Unus or PM him because his system still says I have him blocked when I don't...so Ima hashtag this for his attention.

Yeah, nah, not happy Jan. Tis time to go, methinks. Timelines doing their frequent Blahaj/Sharkey thing of stalling during scrolling then taking yonks to load more posts; individual posts taking yonks to respond to my interactions... these blemishes have accompanied most of my time here, but generally i've tried to be patient coz otherwise the software ofc has numerous attractions. However, today i am grumpy, & not interested in these ongoing shenanigans. Not to mention that my List timelines both broke, a couple of weeks ago; simply stopped loading altogether.
Shall now Export my Contacts list, then Import it to my Masto account to add any changes since i was last using Masto.
One of the reasons i keep giving up on my #Friendica instance over the years, despite also it having many attractions beyond Masto too, is the recurrent downtime & latency. So it's sad knowing that #Blahaj/#Sharkey also suffers this... not as badly as Friendica, but both still too irritating.
