Do you know how Big Infinity (∞) is? Divide the Entire Observable Universe into an equal Number of Planck's Cube Space. Now put a digit in each of those Planck's Cube Spaces. Use all of these individual spaces to get an Extremely Huge Number. That huge 'Number' will still NOT be Infinity. 🤯

Release v2.4.9 of Ktistec fixes two significant bugs. From the changelog:
- Don't reset
next_attempt_atin tasks when server restarts. - Fix incorrect syntax for inline tags in Slang templates.
The first bug resulted in server maintenance tasks running immediately, every time the server restarted, and then beginning their cadence of scheduled runs from there. The second bug surfaced after I released a new version of Slang that itself included a bug fix.

Das widerspricht in meinen Augen genau diesem freien Ansatz des #Fediverse
Auch besteht hier eben auch die Möglichkeit selbst zu entscheiden, und entsprechende Filter zu setzen.
Ob jetzt ein einzelnes Unternehmen über mich bestimmt oder ein Zusammenschluss von Admins ändert nichts an fehlender Selbstbestimmung.
Und nicht jeder ist in der Lage, eine eigene Instanz zu nutzen.

While little of this algorithmic smartness reaches end-users the possibilities are endless.
E.g., the #linux desktop and many of its key apps like local search, file manager, #libreoffice, music apps etc. could be substantially upgraded with local data analysis. Or, the diverse #fediverse servers and apps could help users tame the firehose. People literally owning the algorithm instead of being manipulated by it.
A change of mindset where #opensource becomes active rather than reactive.
