So I see a lot of "Mastodon is dying" and "the Fediverse sucks" posts and I mean why the fk not.. my take.
Mastodon isn't dying. The fediverse isn't dying. Judging it by the spikes in ppl when Latest Corpo Fuckery sends ppl fleeing for a few weeks is like judging the population of an Olympic town by counting the ppl there for the Olympics.
As for it sucking, there are a few arguments. Some have merit IMO and some are just whiny bitchery.
1) "Where are my celebrities and famous ppl?" Mostly pandering to billionaire bigots. Theyre not here BC they're more about brand and less about the causes they supposedly care about.
2) "Where are my friends?" Waiting for a cool kid to tell them what to do. Most ppl just want to talk to ppl they like. If the savvy ones leave, so will they.
3) "The admins are assholes." Okay kind of, yeah. Not all of them (Dio is a fking bish tho) but enough that it matters.
4) "It is hard to find ppl." Fair.
5) "Trying to figure out signup sucks." FAIR.
6) "Some instances block other instances." Working as designed. Some instances ridic in their decisions but it seems like mostly, the gross ones get blocked. Compare to Twitter or Meta, who make money on your unhappiness.
7) "It doesn't have X feature." I mean maybe but you can try one of the not Masto ones and they prob do. Masto is minimalist. Misskey, Sharkey, etc have expanded a lot.
8) "They hate white ppl" Oh STFU.

Ingresé un #robots personalizado siguiendo un tutorial pero no sirve de nada o muy poco.
Llegado aquí no sé si cambiar de proveedor que no permita este tipo de intrusismo o pedir ayuda para impedir lecturas automatizadas en el mismo blogspot
Alguien que tenga algún comentario al respecto?
