The rows of books in the SDSU central library stacks loom ominously in my memory of reading of the beginning and the end of #Narnia. I read the whole series from their archives first, before reading of Narnia anywhere else. It's not that I hadn't heard of "The Chronicles of Narnia" before. Those handy little mass-market paperbacks were everywhere in the 1980s and 1990s. They were somehow...not talked about. That was a warning sign, had I known. There's a good reason #Tolkien is the flagship #Inkling and Charles Williams (and the others) are practically _damnatio memoriae_ except as ghosts round the edges of the Lewis-Tolkien monomyth.
"The Mythmakers", indeed. Is John Hendrix on the #fediverse? I very much doubt it.

Welches #eauto gibt es denn als klein(st)Wagen in schĂśnen Farben?
Aktuell fahren wir einen Honda Jazz von 2011 in azurblau metallic und sichd super zufrieden, auĂer dass er halt ein Benziner und 14 Jahre alt ist đ
Den Jazz gibt's leider nicht vollelektrisch, nur als Plugin Hybrid, und in langweiligen Farben. Was wären denn Alternativen?
Anforderungen: Anhängerkupplung fĂźr Heckbox oder entsprechend Dachlast fĂźr Dachbox, 2 groĂe Kinder auf Kindersitzen hinten (wobei eins bald keinen mehr braucht und der kleine dann den schmalen cybex bekommt)
Den Hyundai Inster gibt es nur in potthässlichen Farben (Tomboy Khaki?!? Buttercream yellow?!? Unbleached ivory?!?)
Was gibt's denn sonst noch so, was passen kĂśnnte?

Remember back in 2022, when people all across the Fediverse lost their absolute minds at the idea of someone building a search index of public posts, and took down several reasonable attempts at it?
I wonder how many of those people are storming the offices of MS, OpenAI, Grok, etc. about all the copyright infringing hoovering they're doing.
Oh, none? Thought so. So much easier to beat up on the solo developer trying to be useful.

PS (@ps) recently shared another technical project: a BitTorrent tracker/aggregator written in Rust.

From a purely technical view, the project looks interesting. But letâs not ignore the bigger picture:
â ď¸ Wellbeing risks â when someone avoids accountability in community roles (like being an admin) yet runs infrastructure that distributes content, there is a danger. If they wonât take responsibility for harm in social spaces, why would they handle reports or abuse responsibly in technical ones?
â ď¸ Trust risks â a tracker/aggregator operator needs trust. If admins are untrustworthy and dismissive of accountability, can we really trust their systems? Ignoring accountability in one space carries over into others.
đ¨ Technical skill does not excuse ethical failure. Building networks without accountability is dangerous. Wizard.casa remains under observation for wellbeing and security concerns. Accountability is not optional.
