I found a way that we can stop allowing Newsmast bots from autoboosting our posts.
You need to use the #nobot on your posts so the bot can't see you or boost your content that way you can stop the noise from getting to your ears

@lizmat yeah, irclogs solve one of the issues with irc.
Sadly, lots of people don't care much for it anyway. I guess because it's non-trivial to start using, and doesn't work well asynchronously and cross-device? 🤷
I *wish* #matrix and #element would be an easy choice, but there seem to be too many issues and incompatibilities with the clients.
Maybe there's a #fediverse-based solution that could be set up...
