@covie_93 @tchambers In my area (Italy) we have a right-wing government as well. Not so rigid as Trump is, but our prime minister is in favor of him. Well, here we have many assholes (let's call them with their names) which ruin monuments, shops, police officers are wounded, so they take the chance to belittle pacific movements. I refer to pro-gaza events for example. I heard about #NoKing here on #fediverse as some italian media started mentioning it today.

Attention, #technical people of the #fediverse (and I figure a lot of people on my own instance might have this knowledge), I'm looking for some feedback.
Recently, I noticed a problem with my home #network where I'd lost the #Ethernet connection on my home desktop PC. And the unmanaged 8-port switch into which my PC is connected, showed no activity whatsoever. I tried the following steps:
- Reset the modem/router twice, on two different days...no change
- Substituted the Cat 5e cables with newly purchased Cat 6 cables...no change
- Bypassed the switch by plugging the desktop directly into the RJ45 wall port...didn't work at first, now seems to work
- Unplugged the switch and plugged it back in...activity lights now show up
