1. Lack of moderation and open signups have allowed ableist and transphobic accounts to appear there
2. Numerous accounts impersonating members both from our instance and other instances have appeared there with little done by gaygeek.social's admin to stop the flood. Even if the accounts disappear quickly after reports are filed, the instances admins have done nothing to stop the signups.
If the admin team shows they are willing to moderate and adjust away from open-signup, then we will revisit the defederation and determine if we can refederate with them in the future.
