Unfortunately Westbank settler Dani Dayan (second in https://www.auschwitz.org/en/museum/auschwitz-council/members-of-the-international-auschwitz-council-4th-term-of-offi/) does not care about individual Holocaust victims. He abuses them for hasbara. Spamming social media every three hours is WAY more effective than updating databases. Not in the least because (mostly Germans and some other naive idiots) boost such hasbara. And, the more "adorable" the pictures, the more boosts they get.
Dani Dayan (also IHRA and Yad Vashem chair) appears to also be a highly influential person associated with Natanyahu governments (he was proposed as Israeli embassasdor to Brasil, which Brasil refused because of mr. Dayan's unconditional hatred of Palestinians).
On Oct. 24, 2023, UN Secretary General António Guterres said that the Oct. 7 Hamas attack "did not happen in a vacuum" (to confirm that and denounce criticism in, among others, https://www.aa.com.tr/en/middle-east/un-chief-says-shocked-by-misinterpretations-of-his-statement-to-security-council-/3032525). Mr. Guterres also said:

Mr. Guterres was 100% right. The Hamas attack, albeit not justifiable, did not occur in a vacuum.
One day later Dani Dayan slammed mr. Guterres' statement in https://www.yadvashem.org/press-release/25-october-2023-08-28.html:

The slaughter of Jews by Hamas on October 7th was genocidal in its intents and immeasurably brutal in its form. Part of why it differs from the Holocaust is because Jews have today a state and an army. We are not defenseless and at the mercy of others.

Note that he did that as the chair of Yad Vashem – The World Holocaust Remembrance Center. While mr. Dayan wants us to believe that he cares about what happened to victims of WWII (thereby highly focusing on Jews, who were not Hitler's *only* victims), the only thing he REALLY does is weaponising the suffering of Jews 80+ years ago - and Israeli's since 1948 - against anyone whom he believes is (or may become - even newborns) a threat to Israel and its expanionist plans. He definitely does not care about Arab lives or their rights as human beings. And he never stopped wanting all Palestinians to evaporate or migrate to Mars.
