So essentially imagines a world, in which people don't even have to write their own messages to family and friends anymore?

Like we are not talking useless emails read by a bot here:

Guess it's a good time to reddit.com/r/DeMeta/, to avoid massive amounts of inauthentic messages?

Stunning levels of shit happening with trying to access a public post by Robert Reich.

The first thing that "happened" was (when clicking a search link in DuckDuckGo to Robert's Bluesky) that my wifi connection (Lenovo tab to Nokia smart) switched off and a red banner appeared across the unfilled Bluesky page telling me I was offline.

I work in Big Tech. This news hurts my pocketbook today.
But I am so, **so** grateful for this ruling.

I am surprised and relieved that average people sitting on juries understand that allowing corporate algorithms to shape growing minds is insanely dangerous.

Especially in the middle of a worldwide information war.

Farewell to Beppe Savoldi, historic Bologna and Napoli striker.

Football mourns Beppe Savoldi: the former Atalanta, Bologna, and Napoli striker died at the age of 79. His son, Gianluca, announced the news on his Facebook page: "He has gone to another dimension, our great Beppe. His places, his home, and his affections accompanied him until the last moment, leaving us custodians of the values and love that always constituted the hallmark of his earthly journey. We are very proud of everything, even amidst the pain. We thank with all our hearts the doctors and nurses of Papa Giovanni XXIII and the Beato Palazzolo Institute in Bergamo who cared for him amidst his beloved home walls."

Born in Gorlago, in the Bergamo region, in 1947, Savoldi was one of the era’s iconic center forwards. He debuted at Atalanta in Serie A at the young age of 18, and in 1968 he moved to Bologna where he remained for 7 seasons, winning two Coppa Italia and the Serie A 1972-73 top scorer title.

The Two Billion Dollar Man
In the summer of 1975, he moved to Napoli for 1.4 billion lire plus the contracts of Clerici and the half of Rampanti, valued at another 600 million; from there he earned the nickname “The Two Billion Dollar Man,” for what was then the most expensive operation in Italian football history. Savoldi won another Coppa Italia there, before returning to Bologna in ‘79 as captain, only to be involved in the Totonero scandal. His ban was reduced to two years, and he finished his career at Atalanta, in Serie B, in the 1982-83 season.

After Retirement and National Team
After hanging up his boots (168 goals in 405 appearances in Serie A, his total haul), he dedicated a few years to coaching, mainly in C1 and C2 leagues. His relationship with the National Team was difficult, where he only collected 4 appearances (and a penalty goal in the friendly against Greece), all in 1975.

Good to see Big Tech having to face some consequences for their actions.

I see that Meta's share price is down about 4% so far today, which suggests that the market expects that there will be a material impact, though clearly not a huge one.
