Det stora US-amerikanska företaget Meta har slutat med politiska annonser inom EU. Stoppet berör Facebook, Instagram och Threads. Företaget menar att EU:s nya regelverk om transparens kring politisk reklam som kallas TTPA är svårtolkat och krångligt. De menar att det är omöjligt att uppfylla kraven i det nya regelverket som infördes den 10 oktober.

Most of social media platforms like X, Facebook or Instagram are in fact ad distribution platforms with less and less social element.
The social element is about meaningful connections, ability to connect with people you want to see their content, not a wall of ads or irrelevant content.
Bringing back the social element is necessary to make the digital space that truly connects people, allow them to have conversations, exchange ideas and thoughts, and get the most of the internet.
Better internet starts with the social element which foundation is a person, not a bot or advertiser.
